Disco in Kernow was delighted to be part of the Stroke Association’s Charity Ball, held at the New Continental Hotel in Plymouth on Saturday 28th September 2019. This event was arranged to raise much needed funds for the treatment and research into a major health issue that affects us all.

The organisers booked Disco in Kernow to provide a full package of PA equipment, background music, and of course our famous disco and we were more than ready for the challenge!

The New Continental Hotel Plymouth

First, let’s talk about the venue. The New Continental Hotel is a beautifully decorated grade II listed building with high ceilings, a large stage and great facilities. It is located in the very heart of Plymouth, allowing easy access, and of course the option to stay the night.

The large function room has a capacity for 350 guests, providing just the right ambiance and an exhilarating atmosphere.

Last night was a fantastic evening at The Cornwall Hotel and Spa venue. This was an engagement party disco, held at a classy establishment which would complement any event.

There was a large attendance list for a spectacular evening. The happy couple were over the moon with such a successful evening.

The function room at The Cornwall Hotel and Spa would grace the most sophisticated of events, with the addition of Disco In Kernow to provide the ultimate entertainment program.

A Meet and Greet session began the evening, with guests being welcomed by the hosts. Disco In Kernow provided comfortable background music to compliment the atmosphere and get people in the mood to party.

Once all were settled, and the bar within the function room was in full flow with the fantastic and attentive Jen and Amber, The Cornwall Hotel and Spa catering department delivered one of the the best buffets I have ever seen at a Disco In Kernow event. Hot and cold foods aplenty, with a range to satisfy the most diverse pallets. Wow, what a spread!

This year the Bude Lifeboat Christmas Party was held at the An-Mor Hotel in Bude. The An-Mor Hotel is a fantastic venue which caters for all events both large and small.

It was a brilliant evening to celebrate the festive season for the Bude Lifeboat Crew who put their own lives at risk regularly to save others. It was an absolute privilege to be involved with this event and to be able to help the Crew of Bude Lifeboat let their hair down after a busy year in the waves keeping everyone safe!

The An-Mor Hotel in Bude offers a quality venue with a first class service. As part of the Christmas celebration the An-Mor Hotel provided an exquisite three course meal of the Crews choice, an outdoor bar to allow for pre-dinner drinks and of course, the disco provided by ourselves at Disco in Kernow.

All of the Bude Lifeboat Crew had a fantastic and well deserved evening. The food was wonderful, drinks flowed and family and friends danced the night away.
